Structural Remodeling & Open-Concept Renovations
Open up your living space with carefully planned structural remodeling. Rojas Construction & Remodeling has experience with load-bearing wall removal, engineered beam installation, framing modifications, and structural upgrades throughout the East Bay.
Understand the wall before removing it
Creating an open kitchen or living area requires understanding the existing load path and any plumbing, electrical, or other systems in the wall. Structural evaluation and engineering should happen before demolition.
Build to the project plans
Beam connections, supporting posts, footings, framing, and temporary support all require coordination. We work from the project’s approved plans and coordinate the construction details through the finished space.

Open-concept remodeling questions
Can every wall be removed?
No. The load path, supporting structure, utilities, and proposed design must be evaluated first. Some openings require engineering, new beams or posts, and work below the floor.
Can you hide the new beam?
A flush beam may be possible, but existing framing, engineering, and available space determine the solution. We review the approved design before promising a concealed beam.
What happens after the structural work?
The agreed scope may include plumbing and electrical changes, drywall, painting, flooring, and trim to finish the connected rooms.
